The Great American Metal Exchange<\/strong>. Novell Design Studio in Rahway, New Jersey, is taking a unique approach to getting its line of entry platinum bridal jewelry into retail stores. Novell has developed what it calls the Great American Metal Exchange<\/a> (GAME<\/a>). It will offer its Studio Platinum Collection<\/strong> at a significant discount to qualifying retailers (they must be committed to the bridal business), and will take unwanted platinum<\/strong>, palladium, or gold inventory as total or partial payment. Novell’s goal is to stimulate sales of platinum<\/strong> bridal jewelry.<\/p>\n

“Right now, retailers are apathetic about platinum<\/strong>, and we’re hoping to get them excited about the category again,” says Novell CEO Bruce Pucciarello. “Given the close relationship between gold and platinum<\/strong> prices right now, we think the time is right.”<\/p>\n

Deadline for sending old inventory to Novell is July 1.<\/p>\n
