Are you considering booking a live band for your wedding? Steve Wexler and The Top Shelf takes hits and standards, old and new, to the next level. Their vast repertoire includes inventive arrangements of everything from Marvin Gaye to Beyonce, and all the funk, soul, swing, rock, and R&B in between. The band’s musical director and bassist, Wexler, anchors an airtight rhythm section behind hard-charging horns and a fiery cast of vocalists who are all truly “Top Shelf.” Various members of the band have performed with legends including John Lennon, The Temptations, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, The Tonight Show Orchestra, and many, many more.

Returning to Drom for their first residency, Steve Wexler and The Top Shelf plan to pay homage to legendary musicians with spotlight showcases. During each showcase the band will play an assortment of songs related to that artist; from the songs that made these acts famous to samplings of tracks these performers have written for other artists. Scheduled spotlight showcases include tributes to Stevie Wonder (October 4th), Marvin Gaye and Tina Turner (November 1st), and a show dedicated to 21st Century Soul (December 6th) which will honor artists such as Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, Shemekia Copeland, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, and more.

Guaranteed to get you on the dance floor with their innovative arrangements and dynamic stage presence, the band has headlined venues including Mohegan Sun Wolf Den in addition to serving as the main entertainment at events such as the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Pink Soirée Gala at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum. In addition, the group has played a bevy of weddings and intimate, private events and considers it to be a privilege to share in the experience of these personal functions.
