Happy Halloween from Everyone at Novell!

Halloween 2017 was a very fun day here at our factory. During an afternoon company lunch,  employees showed off their costumes. It was nice to see the effort many put in, and all in the true spirit of Halloween. Costume wearers were all awarded a prize. A special Grand Prize bonus was awarded to a duo that made some fantastically extravagant headpieces!

More about Novell Design Studio

Novell Design Studio wedding bands are manufactured only in our East Coast jewelry factory. We do not import or rely on other sources for our product.

Novell sells all merchandise through our nationwide authorized retailers.  Most of our wedding bands can be special ordered in platinum, palladium, 18kt gold, 14kt gold or Argentium Silver.

Every ring is made to order within 10 to 12 working days. Orders can be rushed, at no extra charge, when specified while placing the order with an authorized retailer.

Keep in mind that almost all Novell bridal jewelry can be custom-manufactured to your specific dimensional requirements. Rarely do we discontinue a ring that we have designed. Novell can also create a ring from a sample, picture or sketch if need be.

Novell can also alter the width, height or even color of our product as needed. In many cases, aspects from several designs can be combined into one unique piece. To learn more about having a ring custom made, just visit the official Custom Shop page.

A Real Life Fall Wedding Story…

A wedding is a time for family and friends to come together from near and far to celebrate the special day for the bride and the groom. This past weekend I got to witness the marriage of my cousin Meaghan and her husband Chris. Now I could tell from the beginning that they had something special; something worth holding tight and making last forever. This was only further reconfirmed on their wedding day. I noticed that despite the chaos that accompanies such an extravaganza, they both seemed at ease. Nothing could get in the way of their perfect day because their “perfection” was already achieved – they had each other.

The wedding ceremony and reception was beautifully done, with anything and everything thought of and executed at a ten. An attention to detail was evident and exuded an ornate environment that was yet comfortable. This was achieved through an elegant farmhouse rustic feel that was embellished through fall tones, candle light and greenery. Not to mention the expansive patio that opened off of the rehearsal dinner that overlooked the lushness of fall. The warmness of the décor was matched with a night of great food, drink and company.

In my eyes, my cousin nailed it. She showed me that it is possible to have the detail every bride craves to achieve without it getting into the way of the true meaning of the day.

It is easy to lose sight of what is truly important due to the demand and pressure of such an event. The venue and décor was perfected however it was the memories transpired that really surpassed all expectations. Genuine enjoyment marked each guest’s face but most importantly it shone on the new husband and wife. Truly nothing could get in their way of a good day because it represented something more than just a grand party, but the start of a new chapter.

How to Redesign an Old Wedding Band with Custom Shop

redesign your wedding band with Custom Shop

Tired of the wedding band that’s on your finger? It’s okay to consider ways to redesign your wedding band. Rejuvenation of the wedding band is adding an interesting twist on wedding band longevity. More and more people are taking aspects of their existing bridal jewelry and creating something new out of it. With the help of a local jeweler and Novell’s Custom Shop, it’s easy to make an old idea something fresh. The best part is that nothing necessarily has been thrown away. It’s just being redesigned or rejuvenated.

The wedding band is integrated into everyday life. After all – you are supposed to wear it all the time. Yet it’s not a surprise that over time you might find yourself wanting something new. Redesigning allows the ring to essentially grow with the wearer. This concept can apply to both rings that have been inherited (i.e. passed down from a relative), and pieces that have simply been outgrown.

Inherited engagement rings or wedding bands carry a degree of sentimental value unmatched by other articles of jewelry. Keep in mind that it is possible to retain some sentiment while making a new ring that has your own distinctive touch. This can be accomplished through preservation of a particular component – such as a gem stones or metal. In many cases, metal from an old design can be melted and used for the new one. Stones can be reset as well.

Take for instance my Mom – who wanted to make changes to the ring she was married in. She decided to combine her engagement ring and wedding band into one piece. This combination was a means to create a practical, unique and most importantly meaningful ring. It turned out to be a rather creative process. Mom could preserve the diamond from the original engagement ring and use it in a new platinum band. This new style was set with intricately placed diamonds from her original wedding band. It represents the idea of renewal in it’s entirely – adopting the new while simultaneously preserving and enhancing the old.

And guess what? She absolutely loves it!

Interested in redesigning your bridal jewelry? Just tell your local jeweler to give Custom Shop a call with your needs, and we’ll take it from there.

Remember – Grandma’s rubies will look great in a new wedding band that you’ve always had in the back of your mind. Take advantage.
