Novell Design Studio has released a brand new QR Code for the new mobile website dedicated to Studio Platinum bridal jewelry. Starting in September 2011, Studio Platinum will be available at select Novell retailers throughout the US. Look for the new Studio Platinum advertisement in Bridal Guide as well!
What is a QR Code?
The Studio Platinum QR Code is a matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that is readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera, and apps available to most smart phones. All you have to do is point a designated lens or area usually found on the underside of iPhones, Androids and many other popular smart phone models found on the market today. The Studio Platinum QR Code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background – it looks like a funky take-off of a UPC scan code. These modules allow the scanner to get more information about the product, go to a designated mobile web page, enter a contest or many other functions the featured brand chooses to highlight. QR codes can be scanned from a magazine, counter signage, posters, billboards and even online.
